Darren Burns, Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Timpson Group and head of the Timpson Foundation will be at a business breakfast as part of The Biology of Belonging.

The Timpson Group’s innovative approach to recruitment has seen them becoming the largest employer of justice-experienced people in the United Kingdom, with 10% of their workforce coming from the justice community.

Prisons and re-offending cost the UK economy £11bn per year. The Timpson Group believe in the transformative power of education and second chances, by offering an alternative to crime and to break the offending cycle.

Timpson recognise the value of vocational education, and understand the significant impact it can have on re-offending. This is why they provide practical training within justice environments to better prepare residents for release.

Darren spoke at the 2022 ACE-Aware Nation conference, sharing his experience working for the Timpson Group and Timpson Foundation.
