Laura Henry-Allain MBE is an award-winning international producer, storyteller, educationalist and consultant. She is the creator of the well-loved JoJo and Gran Gran series, developed and produced by CBeebies and is the series’ associate producer. She is also executive producer on a few shows that are currently in development, including Daddio & Co.

Her bestselling children’s book, My Skin, Your Skin, illustrated by Onyinye Iwu, explores race and racism, and empowers children to be the best versions of themselves.

She is the vice-president for the British Association of Early Childhood Education.

In 2021 Laura received an MBE for services to Education.

In 2021, Laura was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual Nursery World Awards.

Laura was asked to take part in the UK launch in celebration of Michelle Obama’s new book, The Light We Carry, in partnership with Michelle’s publisher Penguin Random House and Black Ballad UK. Laura focused on parenting, resilience and life changes.
